Attempts to crackdown on plagiarism and predatory publishing don’t go far enough, scientists say

The Indian government has responded to calls to take stricter measures to tackle scientific fraud. It has unveiled a raft of regulations to deal with rampant plagiarism in academia and crackdown on publishing in predatory journals. This comes on the back of a number of high profile cases of plagiarism and misconduct.
