Lab safety challenges persist 10 years after Sheri Sangji’s death

This year marks a decade since Sheri Sangji, young research assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), died from burns received while carrying out a lab experiment. While this watershed moment has changed lab safety across the US for the better it is clear that there is more work to do.
